In November of 1999, Juan’s first job entailed the janitorial responsibilities of taking out trash, vacuuming, sanitizing sinks and countertops, mopping, dusting, and replacing supplies in restrooms, the kitchen and break rooms. In December 1999, he became a floor technician which included stripping and waxing, carpet cleaning, grout cleaning, and pressure washing. One month later, he was promoted to supervisor. In this role, his job was hiring and training new employees to ensure the delivery of all services.

In 2001, Juan then started a new journey with a national cleaning company as the manager of new building accounts. From Miami, Florida to Richmond, Virginia, he managed an excess of 2,000,000 square feet in different industries, such as hospitals, commercial offices, churches, banks, schools. Working in this role, he consulted with property managers, thus closely taking note of their interests and goals regarding the janitorial needs of their businesses. From there, Juan would hire the teams for cleaning each property, personally training them and delegating all duties, from supervisory to cleaning. He continued meeting with the supervisors to review and ensure the teams’ adherence to the set standards of cleanliness and sanitation..
